We are seeking talented, passionate and caring individuals looking to begin or continue their career within the Care Industry, making a difference to the lives of our residents at Renaissance Care, and supporting an existing Catering team.
We have an exciting role for an experienced Chef to join our team at Renaissance as a Peripatetic Chef covering our homes in the North Area. 38 Hours per week, although this may increase depending on the needs of the business. *Please note that this job has a closing date of 31/01/2026, and applicants may not be contacted prior to that.
This role will see you work hand in hand with our Catering & Dining Operations Manager to fully support the teams in our North Homes. Your main duties in this role will be to meet with and agree on a structured support plan in order to further develop the kitchen team to Prepare healthy and nutritious seasonal meals for our residents, as well as catering for any specialist dietary requirements.
You’ll be experienced in food preparation with good knowledge and cooking skills and comfortable working within a budget, as you carry out ordering and stock control to ensure you deliver a balanced, nutritious diet, ensuring a range of options are available at mealtimes for our residents to choose from. You will be responsible for checking and maintaining kitchen equipment, reporting any damages or breakages to the maintenance team or home manager. You will follow and supervise the kitchen team to work within COSHH and HACCP regulations and maintaining the highest hygiene standards and ensuring infection control protocols are followed in the kitchen.
You will work alongside home Manager as well as our Catering & Dining Ops Manager to drive and embed new standards and initiatives within the home.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience managing kitchen staff. Preferably you will have experience in a similar role or experience cooking for large groups and menu planning as well.
Driving license and own car essential.
Overnight stays may be part of this role if the successful applicant is ok to do that
