Renaissance Care was founded in 2004 and has therefore many years of experience in guiding families through this process. Our care is personalised to meet your individual needs and requirements, whilst also protecting your privacy, dignity and choice.
Care Home Locations
Every Renaissance home enjoys ongoing refurbishment to ensure that they always offer the highest standard of accommodation to residents in a warm, friendly and caring environment. You can find our care homes in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Forres, Peterhead and Blairgowrie. We have a track record of providing quality care for the elderly. We provide a wide range of services and facilities to give you the very highest support, where and when you need it. Our package of care includes your own bedroom (unless you wish to share), prepared meals, laundry and housekeeping and the use of all the homes public areas including secure gardens. Other optional services such as hairdressing can be purchased in addition. We encourage our residents to stay involved in the local area and arrange regular visits into the community. We also encourage volunteer groups into the homes to meet with or entertain residents.
Our people are our key resource and currently we employ nearly 1000 staff mostly within the care homes but supported by a small, well qualified and highly experienced support office team. We seek to place the care of residents at the heart of everything we do and therefore look to recruit people who see caring as a vocation as well as a job. Staff members are on hand 24 hours a day to provide support and care tailored to meet your needs; from assistance with personal care to helping arrange social activities. We insist on high standards and provide training and other support from the outset. An ongoing programme of internal and external inspections ensures that everyone maintains professional quality standards from planning admissions to care delivery. Furthermore, professional development is offered to all our people to help them achieve their own career goals. We see this as a win-win situation with residents benefiting from a more motivated and dedicated staff.
Funding Your Care
When enquiring about care homes one question that always comes up after you have decided on a home is – what does it cost and is there any funding available. This can be a confusing area as the cost will depend on the services provided and the funding on your personal circumstances. Our home managers will be able to assist you with the cost of available rooms and offer advice on who to contact to find out more about funding. Renaissance Care accepts both privately funded and local authority funded residents. Some government funding may be available for part of the cost of your care. This is administered through your local authority who will first assess your care needs before carrying out a financial assessment. This means that provided your needs are best met in a care home environment the local council should contribute towards your fees provided your capital and savings are below a certain limits.
