Be Our Guest At Malin Court

A Unique Dining Experience

Renaissance at Malin Court sets the standard for unique care home dining experiences with their professional in-house culinary and hospitality team.

The dining experience of any care home is one many residents look forward to – at Malin Court, the wait is always worth it!  The experience rivals that of a fine dining restaurant has, providing positive outcomes on the overall health and wellbeing of residents – the hospitality team takes great pride in offering restaurant-style service.

Our chef’s and culinary team create the most delicious meals using local produce (where possible) and seasonal goods. They are creative with their approach to menu choices whilst realistic to the needs of residents, ensuring a balance of traditional favourites, national delights, and slightly more exotic dishes for those with an adventurous palate.

The team can turn their hand to many cultural dishes taking into account the practices, attitudes, and beliefs of the food origin. Pancakes, curries, paellas, and fish and chips are just some of the meals that make appearances on the menu. Involvement from residents is also encouraged as cooking demonstrations are a big hit with residents of Malin Court.

Renaissance is hugely proud and fortunate to have the team in post, who utilise their expertise within the hospitality and catering industry to bring a personal and unique experience to care home dining.

The dining environment and ambiance are just as important as the food on offer as it sets the scene for residents of the home. Mealtimes are very sociable events, with beautiful sea views accompanying each visit to the dining room. Tables are always with seasonal table settings, candles, and dimmed lights for darker evenings – the team at Malin Court has an impeccable set of dining standards to which they adhere, ensuring that special touch.

Supporting positive outcomes

Creating a positive meal experience helps support residents with both nutritional and health needs. We often witness overall wellbeing outcomes improve as a result of a healthy balanced diet and the benefits of social dining with friends. For those who may be less inclined to participate in-home activities, the dining experience offers that opportunity for social engagement, essential in helping residents feel connected and supports them to form relationships. Generally, residents enjoy having their own space within the dining room, with many residents having a preferred seating arrangement, which is set ahead of mealtimes. We support personal choice and if residents prefer to dine in their own rooms, their experience and enjoyment is equaled.

This is further emphasised through the hospitality team’s commitment to providing personalised service. Including, catering to special events and birthdays.

Natalie, Malin Court’s hospitality manager, quoted future goals for the home include finally being able to welcome visitors in to share in these special moments.

“We’re looking forward to when we can safely reintroduce friends, families, and communities into our home (and restaurant) to further enhance the experience. Dining is a social thing, and one we can’t wait to share with our residents' loved ones.”
