Sowing The Seeds For Success – How Horticulture Improves Wellbeing
With physical and mental wellbeing at the fore, horticulture-based activities offer a collaborative and people-first approach to living a positive and active lifestyle. Horticulture may take many forms, including growing fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, and plants.
With many benefits of gardening activities including:
- Strengthened muscles and improved mobility
- Increased positive mental and physical wellbeing
- And rekindled social relationships -
Horticulture allows us an opportunity to grow and share, both personally and within our communities.
Renaissance Care’s Gardening Event, Blossom with Renaissance, has incorporated elements of Creative transformation, Community Partnership, and Intergenerational workings to provide a well-rounded activities planner. With a tailored plan in place, the events focus on reconnecting, getting back outdoors, and promoting positive wellbeing.
Throughout Spring - we will see our homes transform their garden spaces. With creativity at the centre of our endeavors, we plan to upcycle, re-use, and collaborate to create tailored spaces and foodstuffs.
