Snowballs; snowpeople and snowcones bring joy at Uddingston care home

Elderly residents at Renaissance Care’s Rosepark Care Home in Uddingston have been out enjoying the snow in the gardens around the home.

Jim McDonald (70) and Ricky Jack (75), both residents at the home, were chuffed after building their own snowmen but are looking for some help in naming them. Still Game’s ‘Jack and Victor’ are favourites so far.

Annette Frew, activities coordinator at Renaissance Care’s Rosepark Care Home, said: “The residents have all been enjoying watching the snow fall from the windows but Jim and Ricky were keen get outside. They had a great time and were very proud of their creations.”

The snow has brought a great deal of fun and joy within the Renaissance Care homes and has encouraged many residents to express their youthful nature. Snowballs and building snowmen have been the top of the activity list with the occasional resident venturing out on the sledge.
