Milford House care home is a converted Victorian House set in the Duddingston Area of Edinburgh. The home offers a caring and nurturing setting where residents can live, relax and thrive in.
Offering professional nursing and residential care, Milford House provides a safe and homely environment where people are at the heart of the home and its care. We encourage our staff and residents to set and achieve daily goals, no matter how big or small. This, alongside the use of person-centered tools, helps our people life their life, their way.
Accommodation
The grand building provides 24 hour nursing care for up to 30 residents within single and double occupancy bedrooms. Rooms vary in shape and size, in keeping with the traditional build of the home.
Situated over several floors, all with lift access, the home is equipped with a variety of lounge and quiet areas for people to stop, relax and enjoy the surroundings. Alternatively, larger social rooms are available for people to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere surrounded with peers as well as visiting loved ones.
Nursing care and support
Milford House care home offers professional care and support to the elderly community of Duddingston, Edinburgh.
With 24 hour on site Registered nurse cover, a highly trained care team and a full catering, domestic and activities staff group, the home is well equipped to cater for the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of each of it’s residents.
As well as nursing care, the home also caters for:

Catering & Professional Services
All meals are prepared in-house with our trained cooks catering for individual choices, preferences and dietary needs. The cooks pride themselves in preparing fresh, home cooked, nutritious meals with a menu that is regularly rotated and refreshed. Residents have a say in the choice of food on the menu.
Activities
Milford has close links with the community with the local church and local nursery school amongst the groups who regularly visit the home. The home has access to a mini-bus for trips to the theatre and other day trips.
Our in-house activities coordinator specializes on resident wellbeing and keeping people connected through a variety of technologies, activities and events.
