Renaissance Care is a family-owned care group, established in 2004 and providing care and support to residents, their family, and our workforce within 16 care homes throughout Scotland.
The business was created with family values, where people really matter, and that lives true to this day. We believe that our homes thrive when our people are happy, therefore, we strive every day to make our homes places filled with love, laughter, care, and support.

People thrive when they are connected; connected to their loved ones, connected to their communities and connected to their environment.That’s why it’s important for us to deliver wholehearted person-centred care throughout our business.
This is true of our residents where they are encouraged and supported to be in control of their care, but also with our workforce who are encouraged to use their skills and talents, in any and every capacity, within their working day. This means that regardless of role; domestic, laundry, maintenance, care, management, administration to take sometime each day to do something they love with residents. Not only does this brighten up our resident’s day, but it also fulfils our staff group in ways far beyond that of just their job role.

Our Story
When Robert Kilgour launched Renaissance in 2004 with three homes in the Edinburgh area, he was proud to offer 80 beds and a team of 100 caring staff.
Through acquisition and organic growth, Renaissance Care has established itself as a high-quality care group employing 1100 friendly, highly skilled staff and 723 beds within a portfolio of 15 boutique residential properties.
So, while our team provides the very best in one-to-one, compassionate care, you can also be confident that it is underpinned by 16 years of professional rigour, process and qualified experience.
