PERSLEY CASTLE CARE HOME, ABERDEEN
Persley Castle Care Centre is set in a converted period house in Bucksburn, 3 miles from the centre of Aberdeen. Arranged on three floors, Persley stands next to the river Don and enjoys pretty woodland views. The home benefits from attractive garden areas to the front and rear of the home, which have easy access from the home.
The home enjoys an excellent reputation locally for providing first class care.
Persley Castle provides accommodation for a maximum of 40 residents including up to 35 older people and 5 adults with physical impairment. Many of our rooms have en-suite facilities. We have one double room that can be shared by a couple should they wish to do so.
Nursing & Medical Care
The home provides 24 hour nursing and general care to our residents. Our nurses are NMC registered and together with our trained care staff deliver individual care. Each resident will have a care plan which they are asked to contribute to and which is specific to them, focusing on their abilities, aspirations and choices.
The home is aligned with the local medical practice. As well as benefitting from a clinic held in the home each week residents can access other NHS services such as dieticians, physiotherapists, district nurses and community psychiatric services.
Catering & Services
All meals are freshly cooked on the premises and the menus are planned to ensure that you have a well-balanced and varied diet. The cooks are skilled and trained in the safe and hygienic preparation of nutritional and appetising meals. A range of dishes to suit your dietary requirements will be planned with you. The menu for the day will be displayed to give details of the choices available. Snacks and soft drinks are available for you to enjoy outwith main meal times.
The housekeeping staff works hard to maintain a clean and fresh environment. A full laundering service, with the exception of dry-cleaning, is provided in the home.
Persley Castle has close links with the community and residents participate in a wide range of activities. The home has access to a mini-bus for day trips into the community.
Various other extra services are available as required such as hairdressing, podiatry and newspapers.
