In addition, you must be a team player with a keen eye for detail, driven by professional ethics, be fair and have a genuine interest in working within elderly care.

Home Management
In our view the role of home manager is pivotal to the successful operation of our business. As a registered health professional you will have responsibility for the day to day running of one of our homes, ensuring that our own and national standards of care are delivered at all times. You will also require good commercial awareness as you will have responsibility for staff and for delivering the home’s ‘bottom-line’. We are always looking to hear from experienced managers looking for a new challenge while, at the same time, see this as a personal development opportunity for ambitious members of staff.

Our nurses are responsible for monitoring the personal and medical well-being of residents. This role also involves administering and documenting prescribed medicines in accordance with our procedures. In order to be successful in this role, you must be passionate about working in a care home and always carry out your tasks in a professional manner. In addition, you must have good organisational and time management skills.

We are always looking for dedicated and enthusiastic carers to join our team and help residents live independent lives. As a registered carer with Renaissance Care, you will be responsible for delivering the highest standard of care and ensuring that the personal needs of residents are met. Successful candidates must be good communicators, considerate, empathetic, and have the ability to provide excellent personal care and support to our residents. There is the opportunity for progression into a Senior Carer role with responsibilities similar to those of nurses.

Good food is very important to our residents.  Catering staff are responsible for cooking and serving meals and preparing snacks and drinks for residents as required. To succeed in this role Cooks will be expected to have excellent cookery skills and understand nutrition. The ability to formulate varied menus which meet local tastes is required.  All catering staff should have an awareness of good food hygiene and good practise as well as being prepared to work flexibly in order to meet residents’ needs.

We employ housekeepers, domestic assistants and laundry assistants. Your responsibility is to ensure that the home is kept spotlessly clean and fresh, maintaining both public and bedroom areas to the highest standard. Crucially, laundry assistants will look after residents clothing ensuring that freshly laundered clothes are always available as well as maintaining clean bedding and other soft furnishings. We are looking for people who take a pride in their work and understand what an important role they play in our success.

This role involves planning and co-ordinating stimulating activities for residents in a group as well as individually. The right candidate will ensure our homes are happy by keeping residents occupied with a wide range of engaging events. You will have proven ability to develop and organise on-site and off-site activities and genuine interest in keeping residents active. In addition, you must be a good communicator, friendly, creative and a confident team player.

Our maintenance people undertake all routine maintenance, decoration and repair jobs to ensure the home is kept in a safe, efficient and functional order. You will liaise with outside contractors, maintain health and safety records and minimise costs by monitoring energy consumption. Ideally candidates will have worked in a trade and will certainly have a helpful and flexible approach to work as well as good communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

Care home administrators support the home manager and make sure the administration of the home is smooth and effective. It is a varied role including both secretarial and finance administration work using a variety of computer based systems. As the first point of contact within the home you must be personable and able to relate to staff, residents and their families. You will have excellent communication skills, be computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to produce accurate, effective and engaging documentation.
